Description:

Bridging the GAPs: Approaches for Treating Preharvest Agricultural Water On-Farm

Fruit and vegetable growers are continually assessing their operations to determine
where they can limit risk and increase productivity. As a result, many have expressed interest in learning more about how on-farm preharvest water treatment systems work and how they may fit within their current setup. Come for a day-long course with Extension specialists and produce regulatory staff in North Carolina to gain exposure to different approaches to treating water on-farm; how to implement these systems to meet requirements of the Produce Safety Rule; and how to verify that the system is operating as intended.

Cost & Registration
$50 registration fee includes all course resources as well as morning and afternoon
snacks and lunch. If you have any questions, please contact Chris Gunter (cgunter@ncsu.edu), Chip Simmons (odsimmon@ncsu.edu; 919-414-5632), Elena Rogers (elena_rogers@ncsu.edu; 828-352-2519), or Lynette Johnston (lmkleman@ncsu.edu).
