Mushroom Good Agricultural Practices (MGAP) (2010) are a set of industry-wide food safety standards and procedures for growing, harvesting and shipping fresh mushrooms from Penn State University and the American Mushroom Institute that growers can use to enhance and document safe mushroom growing practices.
USDA GAP/GHP Mushroom Good Agricultural Practices consists of the audit questions and checklists. This audit program was provided by the American Mushroom Institute and Penn State University and contained in the “Industry-Wide Food Safety Standards for Fresh Mushroom Growing, Harvesting, and Shipping.”
